euromicron Deutschland helps build the new business premises of Hanover’s street cleaning department

Design and installation of an innovative fire prevention system

euromicron Deutschland GmbH, one of the leading German system houses in the future market of smart buildings, is a member of the project to equip the new business premises of the aha, the Waste Disposal Association of the Hanover Region, with building technology. The more than 13,000 m2 complex comprises an office building, a workshop, a vehicle and equipment depot, a hall for storing bulk material, and a multi-story car park.

The foundation stone was laid in April 2018 and the building complex is now under construction, with the new premises expected to be ready for occupation in the spring of 2020. The technical building equipment to be implemented by euromicron Deutschland comprises imstallation of extensive security technology, as well as low-voltage and network cabling, including data outlets and patch fields. The system integrator will lay a total of around 19,000 meters of cabling. The telephone and data connections will be created by means of a structured cabling system with Cat 7A cables, while the network cabinets are linked by 12-strand fiber optic cables in 9 µm single-mode technology. The office and staff building, which has been designed in the style of a passive house, will offer 150 employees of the street cleaning department a workplace near to the city center and is regarded as a showcase project in terms of climate protection. The innovative new building is being supported by the fund enercity-Fonds proKlima. There is also a grant from Hanover Region’s Climate Protection Coordination Center, which is backing the undertaking as a regionally important climate protection project as part of the local Lighthouse Policy.

In the area of security technology, euromicron Deutschland will implement a comprehensive fire alarm system linked to Hanover Professional Fire Brigade. 230 automatic fire detectors will be installed throughout the building complex, while all escape routes will be fitted with 24 non-automatic fire alarms (manual call points). The heart of the fire alarm system is the fire alarm panel, which also acts as the fire brigade access point. euromicron will also equip the fire alarm panel in compliance with regulations: An information and operating system contains the fire brigade control panel, the fire brigade graphic annunciator, and fire brigade route cards. In addition, the fire alarm computer, an alert activation element and red flashing lights (for guidance on site) make the work of the fire brigade easier in the event of a possible callout. The order has an initial volume of €190,000.

“After euromicron’s successful involvement in installing the technical building equipment for the New Town Hall and Hanover Service Center, we’re proud to have captured the contract for a further exciting construction project in Hanover,” says a delighted Karsten Möhle, the responsible Project Manager at euromicron Deutschland.
